Tubing
Olin Brass Fineweld® Tube manufactures welded copper alloy tubing via the high frequency induced current manufacturing method using flat-rolled strip. Since being developed and refined by Olin Brass' Metals Research Laboratories and commercialized in 1968, Fineweld® Tube has manufactured millions of pounds of various tube for the power utility, desalination, air conditioning & refrigeration, architectural hardware, and plumbing & plumbing products markets. Some of the materials which have been manufactured into tubing include: Iron-Modified Copper, Admiralty Brass, 90/10 Copper-Nickel, various Brasses, and Stainless Steel. General capabilities range from diameters of 1/2” to 3” (12.7 mm - 76.2 mm), wall thicknesses between 0.018” to 0.125” (0.46 mm - 3.17 mm), and lengths up to 80 feet (24 m).
